Hi!
My name is Mira Nabulsi, I am an audio producer, digital content specialist, and researcher. I was born and raised in Nablus, Palestine and I moved to the US in 2009 to work as a researcher at the Arab and Muslim Ethnicities and Diasporas (AMED) Initiative at San Francisco State University (SFSU). I have an MA in Peace, Conflict, and Development Studies From Universidad Jaume I in Spain, and another MA in Communication Studies from San Francisco State University. I worked at Apple Podcasts, the Pacifica KPFA Radio, and remain a contributing producer of the radio show "Voices of the Middle East and North Africa" and Jadaliyya's Status podcast. I enjoy working in environments and on content that is at the intersection of technology and media. As a researcher, I am interested in social movements, political communication and rhetoric, digital media, and more.
I co-authored “Teen Lives around the World: A Global Encyclopedia”. Edited by Karen Wells. ABC-CLIO 2019 and “Wired Citizenship: Youth Learning and Activism in the Middle East." Edited by Linda Herrera. Routledge 2014.
When off work, I enjoy taking care of my plants, hiking, and exploring California's natural beauty.
